Home Remedies to Heal Sore Throats

There are a number of home remedies to cure sore throats. Some of them are as follows:
  • Gargle of10 ml fluidextract of mango bark mixed with 100 ml water is a very effective remedy available for sore throats.
  • A leaf of basil, which is commonly known as tulsi, when boiled with water is excellent of drinking or gargling.
  • Warm Epsom bath is another very good home treatment of sore throats.
  • For instant relief, mix 5 cloves garlic and 1 table spoon honey and 1/8 tbsp. cayenne together and take a spoon of the mixture.
  • Gargling with lucid warm water with a pinch of common salt mixed is another medication for sore throats.
  • Prepare tea by putting 2 spoons of chamomile to boiling water. Taking this tea after frequent intervals helps relieve.
  • Drinking 4 cups of tea prepared by adding 1 tea of vinegar, a pinch of pepper and juice of a lemon. Taking this tea after every few hours works well.
  • Cinnamon is a great remedy for sore throat. It should be taken with a glass of water mixed with crushed pepper and a spoonful of honey.
  • Gargling with water mixed with fenugreek is also very beneficial.
  • Taking friction bath daily also works effectively in curing sore throats.
  • One teaspoon of dried red sage in a glass of boiling warm water. Thereby Cover it completely for 15 minutes and then add vinegar. It can be thereafter used to gargle 4 times a day. If vinegar is not added, it can also be drunk like a tea. It is an effective treatment of sore throats.
  • Tea prepared with 20 grams of sage and 1/4th teaspoon of high quality cayenne added to 600 ml water taken after cooling is another very beneficial treatment of sore throats. This is one of the most effective methods for treating sore throat.
  • 2 sprigs chopped parsley, three spice cloves, one spoon powdered myrrh, ¼ spoon powdered goldenseal when added to boiling water in order to prepared tea is good when taken as gargle or like a mouthwash.
  • One spoon of red-sage should be mixed in a glass of boiling water when strained and added with vinegar after the mixture being strained. The mixture should be used to gargle four times in a day and it also should be used like a tea if vinegar is not added in preparation.
