Headaches are common pain that can occur to any one. It is a pain related to the muscles, nerves and the skull that swathe the neck area and the head. A person may feel a headache when he is stressed out or tensed. There are many types of headaches, some mild and some severe. In extreme cases the pain may become unbearable as well. Migraine headaches are the most painful headaches. In such a case a person may feel pain on both the sides of the head. A person may also feel nausea. But it is advisable to cure headache in a natural way than to have unnecessary medicines.

- Make sure you sleep well. A good sleep will avoid headaches.
- Always eat at
- small intervals. If you are hungry you are more prone to headaches. So avoid being on empty stomach and eat whenever you are hungry.
- Have a banana daily to stay away from headaches. Banana gives a lot of energy so have one after the meal.
- Increase your intake of Vitamin C in your daily diet. Vitamin C works best to fight against any infection as well as headaches.
- To cure sinus headaches boil ginger juice and mix water in it. Drink this daily to cure headaches. You can also use dried ginger powder instead of fresh ginger.
- A good and natural way to heal headaches is to apply sandalwood paste on the forehead. This will give some relief from headaches.
- An easy and effective remedy is to soak your feet in warm water before retiring to bed for about 15-20 mins. Do this for few days to cure headaches.
- Drinking a glass of grape juice will also be helpful.
- Take a steam when you are suffering from headaches. Add 6-8 drops of eucalyptus oil in it to make it more effective.
- Acidity may also be the grounds of headaches. Therefore in such cases have lemon juice or consume two to three tablespoon of Aloe Vera gel. To make that more effective have it at least thrice a day.
- Mild headaches can be cured by a simple massage. Massage your head with coconut or rosemary oil to cure headache. This is a good and easy home remedy.
- To cure headaches that are related to cold, make sure you take steam daily; for sore throat gargling with warm water will also be fruitful, and clean the nasal area with warm water as well. These small things will keep you away from severe headaches.
- To cure persistent headaches, eat freshly cut apples in the morning. Have it daily. You can also add a pinch of salt. It’s good if you take it on empty stomach.
- Have a glass of water mixed with honey everyday in the morning. This is will give relief from headaches.
- Apply a paste of lemon crush on your forehead to cure headaches. This is one of the natural therapies. You can also apply a paste made from cinnamon powder on the forehead.
- Avoid alcohol, coffee, oily food, tomatoes, sour butter milk and spices in excessive amounts.
- Exercising regularly will keep the headache away. There are few yoga asana that you can practice to cure headaches such as vajrasana, ardhachakrasana and shashankasana. You can also practice pranayamas like shitali, sitkari and anuloma-viloma. Yoga will release the stress and will also help in maintaining the blood circulation.
